LEGER 1776-1976, BI-CENTENARY COMMEMORATIVE TWO HANDLED OVOID PEDESTAL VASE, commissioned by Francis Sinclair Ltd, Doncaster and designed by June Branscombe, the cream ground gilt with imbricate scales centred by an oval laurel garlanded reserve well painted in enamels with race horses at the start signed S.D. Nowacki, opposing an oval reserve enamelled and gilt with a Coat of Arms and motto 'Be Steadfast' the shoulder gilt with 'St. Ledger 1776-1976' with foliate sheathed scroll handles and waisted neck ending in fixed faux cover, raised upon a concave cornered square pedestal foot, with gilt tooled leather framed certificate numbered 28/50, in original silk lined leather covered box, the vase 16 3/4" high.
